About Zirav

Zirav originated from my search for new ways to discuss challenging topics with my 5 and 8-year-old sons.

The first illustration I lovingly created was "A Mistake is GOLD." We still benefit from it every day. By now, approximately 3000 people have the illustration hanging in their classrooms, practices, living rooms, or children's rooms.

It is my dream that through my illustrations, I can make a small difference in the lives of both children and adults. I hope that my illustrations can be of help to you as well.

My Background

I hold a degree in Dutch Language and Literature (Leiden University), I'm an allround professional in communication and design (Communication & Multimedia Design), Dutch language teacher (postgraduate), and interior designer (NIA Academy). I work as a writer, editor and illustrator, and I run my own interior design studio, Studio KALA.
